Fundacion Telefon pa Hubentud Aruba operates the 131 — Telefon pa Hubentud
(Youth Helpline) chat, phone, and email service. This page explains what we
collect, what we do with it, and what we never do with it.
What we collect
A nickname you choose (not your real name).
Your language preference (English, Papiamento, Dutch, or Spanish).
Your mood and the avatar you build.
The messages you send during chat.
Optionally, your date of birth — only if you fill it in on the Profile screen, to give the counsellor age context.
What we do NOT collect
Your real name.
Your phone number or postal address.
Your email address (unless you explicitly choose to send an email through the app).
Your GPS location.
Your contacts or photos.
Any tracking data across other apps or websites — we use no third-party advertising or analytics SDKs.
How we use your data
To connect you with a counsellor who can respond to your chat.
To keep your conversation history visible to the counsellor so they know what you have already talked about.
To improve the service through anonymised statistics — never linked back to any individual.
Where we store it
Your conversations are stored encrypted on Amazon Web Services servers in
the United States (us-east-1 region). Only counsellors and authorised staff
of Fundacion Telefon pa Hubentud Aruba can read them.
Who we share with
Nobody. We do not sell or share your data with advertisers or third
parties. The only exceptions are (a) when we are legally required to disclose
information by a court order, or (b) under the safety exception described in
the Terms of Service.
Your rights
You can end the conversation at any time using the "End chat" action in the chat menu. Your session is closed and the counsellor is notified.
You can ask us to delete your stored conversation history by emailing 131aruba@gmail.com from any address.
You can change or remove the avatar, nickname, or mood you have shared at any time on the Profile screen.
Children and young people
This service is designed for youth. Because we never ask for your real
name, phone number, or location, we have no way of identifying you unless
you choose to tell a counsellor.
